The
IMO requires special courses for deck officers
and masters on tankers. The maritime department
of the university will offer these courses on
an e-learning-platform. In this way the participants
are able to study the courses on board and the
gap between theory and practical experience
can be closed easier than in studies ashore.
In cooperation with international partners (universities,
shipping-companies and a manufacturer of simulators)
the maritime department is supported by the
Leonardo-project to extend these courses to
web-based simulator-courses for handling of
liquid cargoes in bulk.
These studies will be completed by an evaluation
of the results of education and training on
board. |
