Objectives:	By finishing the course students should be able to assess different ways of financing and to apply them to a specific problem in financing. Students should be able to use different ways of capital budgeting to calculate an after-tax profitability, especially by using the discounted cash flow method, too. Basic knowledge in MS-EXCEL is a necessary prerequisite.
Course contents:	1st block: capital, objectives of corporate financing, balance sheet 2nd block: balance sheet 3rd block: liquidity, profitability, general rules for capital structures 4th block: leverage-effect, financial planning 5th block: equity financing 6th block: collateral securities 7th block: mortgage 8th block: short-, medium-, and long-term debt financing 9th block: financing of real estate 10 th block: PC-exercise financing real estate 11th block: factoring, leasing, self-financing by retention of earnings 12th block: Static methods of capital budgeting 13th block: dynamic methods of capital budgeting 14th block: PC-exercise on capital budgeting
