Exam requirements:Knowledge of modelling of structural mechanics problems using
stiffness matrices of truss and beam.
Knowledge of calculating displacements and forces.
Basic knowledge of the triangular membrane element and of plane stress conditions.
Objectives:Knowledge of stiffness matrices, boundary conditions and symmetry for
the modelling in structural mechanics using FEM. Understanding of the inner structure
of stiffness matrices and of the process of solving the entire system.
Course contents:Models of truss and beam, analysis of beams and frameworks,
principle of virtual displacements, triangular membrane element.
