Exam requirements:	Knowledge about the application and operating response of power components; knowledge about basic rectifiers, circuits with line and forced commutation; design and project of power electronics circuits
Objectives:	This lecture is designed as a basic course of power electronics. The aim of the lecture is to get familiar with the applications of modern semiconductors and to design and project power electronics circuits.
Course contents:	Power semiconductors diode, transistor, thyristor, triac basic rectifier, circuits with line and forced commutation power quality, power factor correction (PFC)
