The Lower Saxony state government passed a resolution on 16.6.2009 that split former University of Applied Sciences Oldenburg/Ostfriesland/Wilhelmshaven into the two new universities Wilhelmshaven/Oldenburg/Elsfleth and Emden/Leer. Applicants can look forward to an attractive range of courses at the new universities. Course structures and quality standards will develop in line with future needs. Students will benefit from short paths on the campus, a broad range of services, studies with a strong practical orientation due to close ties with businesses in the region, and all-round personal support.
